Profile Stats

This guide will help you understand and utilize the Stats feature in 18Birdies to track, analyze, and improve your golf game. By reviewing your stats over time, you can identify trends and enhance your game analysis to take your performance to the next level.

Accessing Your Stats

To start viewing your stats after logging a few rounds:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap "Me" on the bottom menu bar to go to your profile.

Rounds Played

Navigate to Rounds Played:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap "Me" on the bottom menu bar.
  3. Tap "Rounds Played."

Here, you can use the following filters:

Rounds Filters:

  • All Rounds
  • 18 Hole Rounds
  • 9 Hole Rounds
  • By Date
  • By Score
  • By Course

Entering a Past Round

If you were unable to record your round during play, or if you have rounds from before joining 18Birdies, you can enter them manually. For more information on entering a Past Round, check out our support article 

  1. Open the app and tap "Me" on the bottom menu bar.
  2. Tap "Rounds Played" (below your profile image).
  3. Tap "Enter a Past Round."
  4. Fill in the Course, Tee, Round Type, My Score, and Date fields.
  5. Tap "Save" to add the round to your Round History.

 

Handicap

Tap Handicap to see a chart of your last 20 rounds used to calculate your handicap. The highlighted rounds are the 8 with the lowest differential.

Viewing a Specific Round in the Handicap Chart

  1. Open the app.
  2. Tap "Me" on the bottom menu bar.
  3. Tap "Handicap" to open your handicap chart.
  4. Tap the bar on the chart.
  5. Tap the box with the date and 18Birdies Handicap number.

Golf Bag

The Golf Bag feature stores stats for each individual club.

Opening Your Golf Bag

  1. Open the 18Birdies App.
  2. Tap "Me" in the bottom right-hand corner.
  3. Tap "Golf Bag."

Tap a club to view its individual stats.

True Distance

On each club's page, you'll find its True Distance. This is your club distance based on recent tracked shots, excluding outliers and adjusted for conditions like wind, elevation, temperature, and altitude. It intelligently filters for your typical distance.

To manually set a yardage, disable the "Use True Distance" toggle, confirm, tap the distance, and enter your desired yardage.

Club Recommendations (Premium)

Club Recommendations is a Premium feature that suggests the best club for each shot using your club distances, real-time course conditions, and Plays Like Distances. It adjusts for:

  • Wind
  • Slope
  • Temperature
  • Altitude

Club Recommendations improve with more tracked rounds and shots.

Enabling Club Recommendations

  1. Start a round in the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap the "Tools" button in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select "Settings."
  4. Toggle "Club Recommendation" to "On."

Round Stats

Round Stats allows you to track your progress over time and drill down into individual stats.

To view a chart showing change over time, tap the stat. You can switch between stats at the top of the chart. 

Scoring Goal

Tap on Scoring Goal to set the scoring barrier that you’re trying to break. Once you’ve inputted your Scoring Goal, 18Birdies will show you the average stats to break 90.

By focusing on a specific area, you can target drills and resources to refine your game.

On the Course & Round Stats pages, you can filter and compare your information. Each filter option can also be used for comparison.

  • 9 Hole Rounds
  • 18 Hole Rounds

Time Frame & Comparison Basis: (These options apply to both filtering and comparing your stats)

  • All Rounds
  • Last Round
  • Last 5 Rounds
  • Last 10 Rounds
  • Last 20 Rounds
  • Last 30 Days
  • Last 90 Days
  • This Year
  • 2024
  • 2023
  • 2022
  • Before 2022

Key Stats:

  • Average Scores (including scoring averages, pars or better, and doubles or worse)
  • Fairways Hit (percentage)
  • Average Score (for par 3s, 4s, and 5s, along with Pars or Better)
  • Putts per Round
  • Putts per Hole
  • GIR (Greens in Regulation)

Charts Overview

Under Round Stats, tap any stat to see a chart of its performance over time.

Strokes Gained Insights

If you use Strokes Gained Scoring, you can compare your performance against different handicap groups. For more information on how to use Strokes Gained, check out our support center article: Strokes Gained

Swing and Club Stats

Similar to your Golf Bag, you can view On Course stats and Simulator Club Stats. To learn more about 18Birdies simulator tracking, please see our knowledge base article: (Link to Simulator may be added here.)

Game Stats

Shows a chart of your betting games and overall win/loss record.

Merit Points

Earn XP by recording practice, and move up levels in Golf School to gain Merit Points.

Tracked Shots

View your Tracked Shots by Club, including average and max distances.

Finding Tracked Shots

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap "Me."
  3. Tap "Tracked Shots."

You can find additional stats by tapping the 3 dots (...) on the top right side of your profile.

Celebrate your year with a summary including:

  • Handicap
  • Rounds Played
  • Courses Played
  • Average Score
  • Best Rounds
  • FH/GIR/Putts Totals + Averages
  • Best Golf Buddies

Finding Your Year-End Summary:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap "Me."
  3. Tap the three dots (...).
  4. Tap "End of Year Summary."
