To add a player to your round and see them on the scorecard, use one of the following methods or the combination that best fits your needs:

Invite your friends to your next round of golf – before you play!

The Schedule Round feature lets us set up the day & time of play, the course, and the players ahead of time. Your friends can join the round before your play so you can prepare and commit to the round.

How to schedule a round of golf

  1. Open the app and tap Play on the bottom menu.
  2. Tap Schedule Future Round
  3. Complete the future round details, then tap Next.

  4. Find the golf course you plan to play, then tap Confirm when your Round Settings are complete.

  5. Tap Add Players to Round to add from your 18Birdies friends list, your phone contacts, or by sharing the Round Link/QR Code.

  1. Tap Upcoming Events: Schedule Round.

How to find your future scheduled rounds

  1. Open the app and tap Play on the bottom menu.
  2. Tap Upcoming Events: Schedule Round.

Method 1 - Invite From Friends List

  1. After finishing setting up a round of golf you will see a popup asking 'Who's on your scorecard?'. On this screen, tap the (+) icon next to 'Add Player to Your Scorecard'.

  2. Share the round link by SMS or other group chat, Search 18Birdies Users or Create a Guest Player. You can scroll to add a friend from your 18Birdies friend list by tapping them or Tap 'Invite Player'. You can add someone from your friend's list
    Or search the 18Birdies database and add by name, email, or phone number

  3. Scroll through and tap on the player you would like to invite to join the game. If you tapped 'Invite Player' you will have to enter in your friend's number to get them an invite into 18Birdies.
  4. Tap ‘Confirm’ to add the player.

Method 2 - QR Code

  1. Launch the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap 'Play' on the bottom menu bar.
  3. Tap 'Start a Round' and complete the round setup process.
  4. After the round is set up, you will be asked if you would like to invite players to your round. Tap the QR icon and show the QR code to the golfer that you would like to join.
  5. Once your playing partner has scanned the QR Code, they will join the round.

Get Your Handicap

Method 3 - During a Round

  1. Once a round has started, tap 'Scorecard' on the bottom left side of the screen.
  2. Tap Add Player.
  3. Share the round link by SMS, QR or other group chat, Search 18Birdies Users or Create a Guest Player. You can scroll to add a friend from your 18Birdies friend list by tapping them or Tap 'Invite Player'
  4. Scroll through and tap on the player you would like to invite to join the game. If you tapped 'Invite Player' you will have to enter in your friend's number to get them an invite into 18Birdies.
  5. Tap ‘Confirm’ to add the player.

Once the player has been added to the round, they will default to playing from the same tees as the player who invited them.
In order for the new player to play from different tees, they will need to change round settings from their own device and select their desired tees.

Edit Guest Player Handicap

  1. Once you have started your round and added the guest player, tap the Scorecard icon on the bottom left side of the GPS screen.
  2. Tap the pencil next to CH on the scorecard.
  3. Tap the pencil next to the player handicap.
  4. Complete the Handicap detail and then tap Confirm to save.
