What is the Course Forum?

The Course Forum is a localized community board built directly into every Course Profile. It allows players to share real-time updates, discuss course strategy, and connect with other golfers who play the same track.

Creating a Post in the Course Forum

Any user is able to access and post to the Course Forum to participate in community discussions.

What types of posts can I make?

You can categorize your post in the Forum it using one of our tags to help other users find relevant information:

  • Course Conditions: Share updates on green speeds, recent aeration, weather delays, or general maintenance.
  • Strategy & Tips: Share or ask for advice on club selection, mapping out hazards, or navigating tough shots.
  • Find Playing Partners: Post to coordinate tee times, fill a last-minute opening in your group, or meet other local players.

If your post doesn’t fit in these categories, that’s okay! You can create a general post for any golf chat, questions, or banter related to the course.

If you’re posting about a specific hole, you can tag it directly while creating the post. This helps users to be able to sort and filter the Forum for tips about specific holes as they play.

Can I add photos to my post?

Yes. You can attach photos to your forum posts to visually demonstrate current course conditions, tee box layouts, or pin placements.

Who can see my posts in the Course Forum?

All posts made in a Course Forum are public. Any 18Birdies user who visits that specific Course Profile can view your posts, read comments, and interact with your content.

Any user can access the Course Forum in a few key places:

  1. In the Community section of the Course Profile
  2. The “Course Forum” tool on the GPS Page
  3. The “Course Forum” entrance on the Play Tab
