What is a Home Course?

A Home Course is any golf course you play frequently or consider your primary track. Designating your Home Courses on 18Birdies creates a more community-focused experience for those locations.

Setting Up Your Home Courses

You can add up to 5 home courses in your 18 birdies account, allowing you to easily stay connected with other locals at your favorite courses.

To add a Home Course:

  1. Navigate to the Courses tab and search up your Home Course.
  2. Click the “Bookmark” icon in the top right
  3. Select “Set As My Home Course”

When you select your first home course, it is automatically pinned to the top of your Profile. If you have more than one Home Course, you can adjust which one is pinned to your profile in the “Edit Profile” settings.

What happens when I select a Home Course?

Once you designate a course as a Home Course, its Course Profile changes slightly to emphasize social and community elements:

  • Community Focus: The layout adjusts to prioritize community features and the Course Forum.
  • Forum Access: The page will actively direct you toward the Course Forum so you can easily view or share real-time updates.
  • Member Listing: You are officially added to the course's public Members list.

Additionally, your Home Courses will always appear at the top of the Courses tab for easy community access.

Why should I add a Home Course?

The main benefit of setting a Home Course is connecting with other local golfers:

  • Find Playing Partners: You can browse the course's Member list to find other locals who share similar attributes (handicap, mutual friends, etc).
  • Build Your Golf Network: It acts as a digital clubhouse, making it easier to coordinate tee times, make new friends, and stay plugged into the local scene.
