18Birdies lets you connect with friends and other golfers so you can share rounds, view activity, message each other, and play together.

Use this article to learn how to find friends, add golfers, manage friend requests, remove friends, and use QR codes for friend-related actions.

How do I add a friend?

To add a friend:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap Friends.
  4. Tap Add Friends.
  5. Choose how you want to add a friend.

You can add friends by:

  • Searching for a name
  • Sharing an invite link
  • Adding friends from your contacts
  • Generating or scanning a QR code

You can also view and add friends from the Community tab.


Where can I find friends in 18Birdies?

You may be able to find golfers from different areas of the app, including:

  • Me > Friends
  • Community tab
  • Friend search
  • Your phone contacts
  • QR codes
  • Shared rounds
  • Feed posts
  • Leaderboards
  • Leagues or tournaments
  • Player profiles
  • Your Home Course

You may also be able to find golfers by viewing your Home Course and seeing other golfers who have selected the same course as their Home Course.

If you cannot find someone, ask them to confirm the name, phone number, email, or profile information on their 18Birdies account.


How do I find my friends list?

To find your friends list:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap Friends.

You can also view friends from the Community tab where available.


How do I use a QR code to add friends?

Your QR code can help other golfers find your profile and connect with you more quickly.

To use a QR code to add friends:

  1. From the Me or Community tab, tap Friends.
  2. Tap the QR code symbol in the top-right corner.

This will show your QR code if another friend is scanning it.

You can also use this section to scan a friend’s QR code.


Why is my friend request pending?

A friend request may remain pending until the other golfer accepts it.

If both golfers believe the request was accepted, close and reopen the app and check again.


How do I cancel a pending friend request?

To cancel a pending friend request:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Go to the golfer’s profile.
  3. Tap the pending friend request option, if available.
  4. Choose the option to cancel, remove, or withdraw the request.

How do I remove a friend?

To remove a friend:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Go to the friend’s profile.
  3. Tap the Friends button with the checkmark icon.
  4. Tap the option to remove the friendship.
  5. Confirm the change.

After removing a friend, they will no longer appear in your friends list.


Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I find my friend?

Try searching by name, email, phone number, or profile information if available.

If you still cannot find them, ask your friend to confirm the information on their 18Birdies profile.

Why can’t someone add me?

Your privacy settings may affect whether other golfers can find or connect with you.

Review Privacy Settings to confirm your profile and discoverability settings.

Can I block another golfer?

Yes. To block another golfer, open the golfer’s profile, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then choose the option to report and block.

If you do not want to report the golfer, you may also be able to limit what they can see by adjusting your Privacy Settings or round visibility settings.

Can I reconnect with someone after removing them?

Yes. You can send another friend request if you want to reconnect later.

The other golfer may need to accept the request again.
