Community Feed and Activity Sharing

The Community tab is the main place to see what your friends are doing in 18Birdies.

Use the Community Feed to view friends’ live and completed rounds, like and comment on activity, create posts, share photos, manage friends, access events, and stay updated on recent 18Birdies releases and promotions.

What is the Community Feed?

The Community Feed is where you can see golf activity from friends and other content shared in 18Birdies.

The Feed helps you stay connected by showing friends’ rounds, posts, photos, comments, likes, and other golf activity.

You may also see updates from 18Birdies, such as recent feature releases, promotions, campaign reminders, ads, or recommended content.


What appears in the Community Feed?

The Community Feed may include:

  • Friends’ live rounds
  • Friends’ completed rounds
  • Round summaries
  • Scorecards
  • Photos
  • Text posts
  • Achievements
  • Likes and comments
  • Recent releases or promotions from 18Birdies
  • Ads or recommended content from 18Birdies

For example, you may see a friend’s round with their score, course, round date, weather, or other round details.


How do I manage friends and events from the Community tab?

At the top of the Community tab, you may see quick access areas for friends and events.

From this area, you may be able to:

  • View your friends
  • Manage your friends list
  • Add friends
  • View events
  • Manage tournaments or leagues
  • Create a tournament or league

How do I view friends’ live and completed rounds?

To view friends’ rounds:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Community on the bottom menu.
  3. Look for friends’ rounds in the Feed or open the friends’ rounds area, if available.
  4. Tap a round to view more details.

Live rounds let you see how friends are playing during a round. Completed rounds let you review their finished round activity after the round has ended.

What you can see depends on your friend’s round visibility and privacy settings.


How do I interact with friends’ rounds and posts?

When a friend’s round or post appears in the Community Feed, you may be able to:

  • View the round details
  • See how they are playing live
  • Review a completed round
  • Like the activity
  • Leave a comment
  • View the course
  • Report the post, if needed

How do I create a post?

You can create a separate Feed post to share a thought, photo, golf moment, or update.

To create a post:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Community on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the create button in the bottom-right corner.
  4. Write your post.
  5. Add a photo, if you want to include one.
  6. Choose who you want to share with.
  7. Tag a course, if applicable.
  8. Tap Post.

Before posting, review the visibility setting so you know who can see your post.


How do I share a round to the Feed?

Rounds may automatically appear in the Feed based on the round’s visibility setting.

If your round visibility is set to Everyone or Friends, other golfers or your friends may be able to see the round in their Community Feed.

You can also view how round activity appears from the Community tab.


Who can see my activity?

Who can see your activity depends on your privacy settings and the visibility selected for the post, round, or activity.

For rounds, visibility can be selected at the start of the round, adjusted during the round, or changed later from the round’s privacy settings.

Activity may be visible to:

Visibility What it means
Everyone Other golfers may be able to see the activity
Friends Only your 18Birdies friends may be able to see the activity
Only Me The activity is private to you

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t my friend see my round?

Your friend may not be able to see the round if:

  • The round is private
  • The visibility is set to Only Me
  • The round did not fully sync
  • Your friend is not connected to you in the app
  • The round is associated with a different account
  • The round was not shared to the Feed

Check the round visibility setting and confirm the round was saved.

Can I hide a round from the Feed?

Yes. You can change the round’s visibility setting.

To hide a round from the Feed:

  1. Open the round.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.
  3. Tap Change Privacy.
  4. Change the visibility to Only Me or choose your preferred visibility setting.
Can I post without sharing a round?

Yes. You can create a Feed post by writing something, adding a photo, choosing who to share with, and posting it to the Feed.

Can I manage friends from the Community tab?

Yes. The Community tab may include a friends area where you can view, manage, or add friends.
