Privacy Settings in 18Birdies let you control who can find you, who can see your profile, who can see your activity, and whether you appear on public leaderboards.

You can adjust these settings at any time from the app.

Where can I find Privacy Settings?

To find Privacy Settings:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner.
  4. Tap Privacy.

From there, you can update your discoverability, profile visibility, activity visibility, leaderboard participation, and notification settings.


How do I make my account private?

To make your account more private:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me.
  3. Tap the three-dot icon.
  4. Tap Privacy.
  5. Review each privacy setting.
  6. Set visibility options to Friends or Only Me, depending on your preference.

To make your account as private as possible, choose Only Me where available.


Who can see my profile?

Profile visibility controls who can view your profile information.

Depending on your settings, your profile may be visible to:

  • Everyone
  • Friends
  • Only you

If your profile is visible to everyone, both friends and non-friends may be able to view profile information.

If your profile is set to friends only, non-friends may see limited information, such as your name, profile picture, slogan, handicap, round count, or friend count.

  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Notifications.
  6. Turn friend round activity notifications on or off.

Can I hide a specific round?

Yes. To hide a round:

  1. Go to Round History
  2. Tap the round of interest
  3. Tap the three dot menu
  4. Tap Round Settings
  5. For round visibility, select Only Me
