What wearable devices does 18Birdies support?

18Birdies supports wearable experiences for:

• Apple Watch
• Wear OS devices, also known as Android watches
• Meta AI Glasses

Wear OS is generally used to refer to supported Android-compatible watches, including many Samsung Galaxy Watch models. Apple Watch and Wear OS use separate setup flows.

Available features may vary by device model, operating system version, phone model, 18Birdies app version, subscription, location, and round setup.

Which Apple Watch models are supported?

18Birdies supports the following Apple Watch models:

• Apple Watch Series 4

• Apple Watch SE, 1st and 2nd generations

Older Apple Watch models may not be supported if they cannot update to a compatible watchOS version.

What can I do from my watch?

Depending on your device and round setup, you may be able to:

• Start a round
• View front, middle, and back GPS distances
• View Plays Like distances, if available
• Enter scores
• Enter basic stats
• Move between holes
• Track shots
• Finish a round
• Use Smart Tracking, Apple Watch only

Your phone may still be needed for full setup, account login, course search, detailed round management, and some feature settings.

What can I do with Meta AI Glasses?

Meta AI Glasses let you use 18Birdies with voice commands during a round.

Depending on your setup, you may be able to:

• Start a round
• Ask for GPS distances
• Log scores
• Check real-time round information
• Ask for weather details
• Get gameplay tips, if available
• Get Club Recommendations, if available
• Take photos or videos through your glasses

Meta AI Glasses are different from Apple Watch and Wear OS. They do not use the same watch app experience.

What still requires the phone app?

Some actions are easier or only available from the 18Birdies phone app.

These may include:

• Creating or logging into your account
• Updating app settings
• Managing your Golf Bag
• Reviewing full round details
• Editing saved rounds
• Managing subscriptions
• Using some GPS tools
• Updating privacy or account settings
• Confirming or reviewing completed rounds
• Setting up connected devices

For best results, start with the phone app updated and nearby before using 18Birdies on a wearable.

How do GPS distances work on a wearable?

Watch GPS distances are based on the location available to the watch.

This means watch distances may differ slightly from phone distances if the watch and phone are in different locations, if one device has a weaker GPS signal, or if the devices refresh at different times.

If your watch does not have cellular, your phone must be within range for the watch experience to work properly. If your watch has cellular, your phone may not need to be nearby for some watch features, but we still recommend keeping your phone nearby when possible.

Meta AI Glasses require your phone to be nearby and connected during your round. Your phone does not need to be in your hand, but it should stay within Bluetooth range.

For best results:

• Keep location permissions enabled.
• Keep the phone and wearable connected when required.
• Make sure both devices are charged.
• Keep the 18Birdies app updated on your phone and wearable.
• Keep your phone nearby when possible.

What wearable features may require Premium?

Some wearable features may require an active Premium subscription.

In general, the same features that require Premium in the phone app also require Premium on supported wearable devices.

Premium wearable features may include:

• Plays Like distances
• Club Recommendations
• Smart Tracking
• Advanced GPS or map tools
• Other Premium-only tools, depending on device and round setup

If a feature is locked or unavailable, check whether it requires Premium or whether it is restricted by the round format.

Important: Some Premium features may be unavailable in Tournament Mode or other restricted round settings.
