Understanding Swing & Club Stats

Swing & Club Stats help you understand how far you hit each club, how accurate your shots are, and what patterns show up in your tracked shot or simulator data.

You can use Swing & Club Stats to review average club distances, true distance, shot history, shot accuracy, and simulator swing metrics when available.

Where can I view Swing & Club Stats?

To view Swing & Club Stats:

1. Open the 18Birdies app.
2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
3. Open Swing & Club Stats.

From this page, you may be able to review:

• Average club distances
• On-course club data
• Simulator data, if available
• Individual club details
• True distance
• Shot history
• Shot accuracy
• Shot details, if added
• Aim point data, if added

What is the difference between On Course and Simulator stats?

Swing & Club Stats may include two tabs: On Course and Simulator.

On Course stats are based on shots tracked during rounds using Shot Tracking or Smart Tracking.Simulator stats are based on simulator session data when available. If no simulator data is available, some fields may show a dash.

What are average club distances?

Average club distances show how far you hit each club based on available track shot data or manually inputted distances.

On the On Course tab, you see a list of clubs with average distances, such as:

• Driver
• Woods
• Hybrids
• Irons
• Wedges
• Putter, if tracked

Each club may show a yardage value and a visual bar to help compare distances across your bag.

The more shots you track with the correct club selected, the more useful your club distance data becomes.

What is Distance for Club Recommendations?

Distance for Club Recommendations is the distance 18Birdies uses when making club recommendations.

This distance may be based on your saved club distance, true distance, or other available club data.

If Use True Distance is turned on, 18Birdies can use your true distance for that club when recommending clubs during a round.

What is True Distance?

True Distance is based on recent tracked shots with a specific club.

In the club detail view, True Distance may show your distance from your last tracked shots while excluding outliers.

For example, a club may show:

True Distance: 256 yardsFrom your last 10 shots, excluding outliers

This helps 18Birdies estimate how far you typically hit that club without letting unusual shots, mishits, or extreme outliers affect the number too much.

What is Track Shot History?

Track Shot History lets you review tracked shots for a selected club.

This can help you understand which shots are contributing to your club distance, true distance, and shot patterns.

Use Track Shot History if:

• A club distance looks wrong
• You want to review recent tracked shots
• You need to check whether the correct club was assigned
• You want to understand why a recommendation changed

What does Shot Accuracy mean?

Shot Accuracy shows how close your shots finish compared to your target or aim point.

The accuracy chart may show distance rings such as:

• 10 yards
• 20 yards
• 30 yards

Shot accuracy may include categories such as:

You may be able to change the accuracy range, such as Within 25 Yards, depending on the available options.Shot Accuracy works best when shots have accurate locations and aim points.

How do shot details and aim points affect Swing & Club Stats?

Some Swing & Club Stats are based on shot details and aim points that you add after a round.

These may include:

• Shot trajectory
• Shot shape
• Shot height
• Club contact
• Aim point
• Shot dispersion
• Proximity to target

Shot trajectory, shot height, and club contact are not separate stats you manually update from the Swing & Club Stats page. They are created from the shot details and aim points you add to tracked shots.

To add shot details and aim points:

1. Tap Me.
2. Scroll to Rounds Played.
3. Select the round you want to review.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the round summary.
5. Look for new shots recorded or shot review options.
6. Add available shot details or aim points.
7. Save your changes.

After details are added, Swing & Club Stats may show patterns such as trajectory, height, club contact, shot accuracy, and dispersion.

What Simulator stats are available?

The Simulator tab may show swing and ball-flight metrics from simulator sessions when available.

You may be able to view simulator stats:

• By club
• By distance
• Across all sessions
• Across a selected range

Simulator stats may include:

Simulator stats may show an Average and Standard Deviation.

The average shows the typical value for that metric. Standard deviation shows how much the values vary. A lower standard deviation usually means your results are more consistent.

If a stat shows a dash, there may not be enough simulator data available for that metric.

Why are some Swing & Club Stats missing?

Stats may be missing or incomplete if:

• Not enough shots have been tracked
• A club has not been used in tracked shots
• Shots were tracked without assigning a club
• Shot locations were inaccurate
• Aim points were not added
• Shot details were not entered
• The round did not sync completely
• Simulator session data is not available
• The stat requires a supported tracking mode, device, or subscription
• The club was recently added to your Golf Bag

For better Swing & Club Stats, track shots consistently, assign the correct club, and add shot details or aim points after your round when available.
