Course & Round Stats help you review your performance across saved rounds.

You can use this page to understand scoring trends, putting performance, fairways hit, greens in regulation, penalties, Strokes Gained, scoring goals, and other performance insights.

Where can I view Course & Round Stats?

To view Course & Round Stats:

Open the 18Birdies app.
Tap Me on the bottom menu.
Open Course & Round Stats.

You can also review stats from individual rounds by going to Me > Rounds Played, selecting a saved round, and opening the round summary, scorecard, or available stats.

How do I filter Course & Round Stats?

The Course & Round Stats page includes filters that let you change which rounds are included in your stats and what your current stats are compared against.

You may see filters such as:

Round Length: Choose whether to view stats for 18-hole or 9-hole rounds.
Range: Choose which rounds are included in the stats.
Compare With: Choose what your current stats are compared against.

Available range and comparison options may include:

All Rounds
Last Round
Last 5 Rounds
Last 10 Rounds
Last 20 Rounds
Last 30 Days
Last 90 Days
This Year
Specific years, such as 2025, 2024, or 2023

To update your Course & Round Stats filters:

Open the 18Birdies app.
Tap Me.
Open Course & Round Stats.
Tap the filter you want to change.
Select the round length, range, or comparison option.
Review the updated stats.

The main range controls which rounds are used to calculate the stats on the page. The comparison filter controls the red or green change values shown next to each stat.

For example, if your range is set to All Rounds and your comparison is set to Last Round, the page shows your all-time stats and compares them against your most recent round.

Important: Available filters may vary by app version, account history, and the number of rounds saved to your account.

What do the red and green numbers mean in Course & Round Stats?

The red and green numbers show how the stat changed compared to the selected comparison range.

Green means the stat improved. Red means the stat got worse.

For some stats, higher is better, such as fairways hit, greens in regulation, par or better holes, and positive Strokes Gained.

For other stats, lower is better, such as average score, putts per round, three-putts, penalties, and double bogey or worse holes.

What does Scoring Goal mean?

The Scoring Goal card shows progress toward your selected scoring goal.

Available scoring goals include:

Break 100
Break 90
Break 80
Break 70
I Don’t Have One Yet

Your scoring goal helps 18Birdies track your progress and show targets that may help you shoot lower scores.

Depending on your selected goal, the card shows targets such as:

Birdies
Pars
Greens in regulation
Fairways hit

For example, if the card shows Birdies 1/1, Pars 8/9, GIR 5/9, and FH 10/8, it means your performance is being measured against those goal targets.

Scoring Goal can also affect the targets shown during your rounds.

How do I set or change my Scoring Goal?

You can set or change your scoring goal from the Course & Round Stats page.

To update your scoring goal:

Open the 18Birdies app.
Tap Me on the bottom menu.
Open Course & Round Stats.
Tap the Scoring Goal card.
Select your goal.
Save or close the screen.

Available goals may include Break 100, Break 90, Break 80, Break 70, or I Don’t Have One Yet.

After you set a scoring goal, 18Birdies may use that goal to show progress, performance targets, and tips to help you improve.

What does Top Priority to Work On mean?

The Top Priority to Work On card highlights the area of your game that may need the most improvement.

This recommendation is based on your Strokes Gained data and other performance trends.

For example, if the card shows Approach, that means approach shots may be one of the biggest areas costing you strokes.

Tap Level Up, if available, to review improvement content related to that area.

What scoring stats are shown?

Course & Round Stats may include scoring stats such as:

Stat	What it means
Avg. Score	Your average score across the selected rounds
Par or Better	Average number of holes where you scored par, birdie, eagle, or better
Double or Worse	Average number of holes where you scored double bogey or worse
Par 3	Your average score on par 3 holes
Par 4	Your average score on par 4 holes
Par 5	Your average score on par 5 holes

These stats can help you understand whether your scoring is improving and which hole types may be costing you the most strokes.

What do Fairways Hit and Greens in Regulation mean?

Fairways Hit shows how often your tee shot hits the fairway on holes where fairway tracking applies.

Fairways hit usually apply to par 4s and par 5s. Par 3s do not include fairway hit tracking.

Greens in Regulation, or GIR, shows how often you reach the green with enough strokes remaining to allow for two putts for par.

A green in regulation means:

On a par 3, you reached the green in 1 stroke.
On a par 4, you reached the green in 2 strokes.
On a par 5, you reached the green in 3 strokes.

Fairways Hit and Greens in Regulation are shown as a percentage. The number in parentheses shows the average number of fairways or greens hit.

What do putting stats mean?

Putting stats help you understand how you performed on the green.

Common putting stats may include:

Stat	What it means
Putts Per Round	Average number of putts per round
Putts per Hole	Average number of putts per hole
# of ≥ 3 Putts	Average number of holes with three or more putts
Avg 1st Putt	Average distance of your first putt

Lower putting numbers are usually better, especially for total putts and three-putts.Avg 1st Putt can help show how close your approach shots or short-game shots are finishing to the hole. A shorter first putt is usually better.

What do Sand Saves and Up & Down mean?

Sand Saves shows how often you successfully get up and down from a bunker.

Up & Down shows how often you get the ball in the hole within two shots from around the green.

Higher percentages are better.

These stats depend on the short-game information entered or tracked during your rounds.

What do Penalties mean?

Penalties shows the number of penalty strokes recorded in the selected rounds.

Penalty stats depend on penalty strokes being entered during score entry, Shot Tracking, or Smart Tracking.

If penalties were not entered during the round, they may not appear in your stats.

What does Strokes Gained mean?

Strokes Gained is an advanced performance stat that compares your shots against a selected baseline.

The baseline may be a player group, such as PGA Players, or another available comparison.

Strokes Gained may be broken into categories such as:

Tee to Green
Tee
Approach
Wedge
Around Green
Sand
Putting

Positive Strokes Gained means you performed better than the selected baseline. Negative Strokes Gained means you lost strokes compared to the selected baseline.

For example, if Approach is a large negative number, your approach shots may be costing you strokes compared to the selected baseline.

What are Insights from Strokes Gained?

Insights from Strokes Gained show supporting stats that may explain why you are gaining or losing strokes in certain areas.

These insights may include:

Insight	What it means
Avg 1st Putt	Average distance of your first putt
Avg Approach	Average distance of your approach shots

These insights can help explain the “why” behind your Strokes Gained results.

For example, if your average first putt is long, your approach shots or short-game shots may not be finishing close enough to the hole. If your average approach distance changes, it may affect how difficult your approach shots are.

Why are some stats missing or incomplete?

Stats may be missing or incomplete if:

The stat was not entered during the round
The round was saved before all holes were scored
A player did not enter all scorecard details
Shot Tracking or Smart Tracking data was incomplete
The round did not fully sync
The round was played in a format that limits individual stats
The stat is not available for that round type or app version
There are not enough rounds or tracked shots to calculate the stat

For the most accurate stats, enter score and stats during the round and review your scorecard before finishing.

Where can I see basic stats like pars, birdies, bogeys, and rounds played?

You can review basic round information from Me > Rounds Played.

Open a saved round to view the scorecard, round summary, and available stats.

Course and stat views may also show information such as rounds played, average score, score to par, birdies, pars, bogeys, fairways hit, and greens in regulation when available.

Can I view stats round by round?

Yes. From Me > Rounds Played, select a saved round to review that specific round’s scorecard, hole-by-hole performance, and available stats.

Round-by-round analysis can help you look back at previous rounds, compare how you played, and see how your game has changed over time.

What filters are available for Course & Round Stats?

Why are some hole scores missing from my scorecard after I finish a round?

Hole scores may be missing if they were not entered, if the round was finished before all holes were scored, or if the round did not fully sync.

Open the round from Me > Rounds Played and review the scorecard. If editing is available, update the missing hole scores and save your changes.

Why are some stats missing from my round?

Stats may be missing if they were not entered during the round.

For example, if you only entered your total score but did not enter putts, fairways hit, greens in regulation, penalties, chips, or sand shots, those stats may not appear in the round summary.

You can go back and enter or update stats for a saved round by going to Me > Rounds Played, selecting the round, opening the scorecard, and editing the available score or stat fields.

Do I need to enter every stat?

No. You can enter only your score.

However, entering stats such as putts, fairways, greens in regulation, penalties, chips, and sand shots can make your round summary and performance stats more useful.

Why can’t I see the direction I missed the fairway?

Fairway miss direction depends on the scoring mode, stat fields, and data entered during the round.

If miss direction was not entered or tracked during the round, it may not appear in your saved stats.

Why did my stats change after editing a score?

Editing a score or stat on a saved round can update the round summary and related performance stats.

For example, changing score, putts, penalties, fairway result, or green in regulation can affect the stats shown for that round.

Why does a course show fewer rounds than expected?

A course may show fewer rounds if:

Some rounds were not saved
Some rounds were deleted
You played under a duplicate or different course profile
You used a different account
The round did not sync fully
The round was part of a tournament or league flow

If you believe course stats are incorrect, contact Support with the course name, round dates, and account email.

Why is my round not showing on a course leaderboard?

Course leaderboard visibility may depend on round eligibility, privacy settings, course profile, score type, and refresh timing.

Make sure the round was saved, qualified, and visibility is set as Everyone.

Why does my round say it is not included?

A round may be excluded from certain stats, contests, handicap calculations, or leaderboards depending on eligibility rules.
