How to Join a League

Joining an 18Birdies League lets you participate in a season-long golf competition, play in league tournaments, and track your position in the league standings.

You can join a league with an invite link, QR code, direct invite, or Public League listing.

Once you join, league tournaments created by the organizer may count toward your season standings.

Before you begin

Before joining a league, make sure you:

  • Download the 18Birdies app
  • Create an 18Birdies account or log in
  • Have the league invite link or QR code, if the league is private
  • Know whether the league is public or invite-only
  • Check with the league organizer if you are unsure how to join

How do I join a league with an invite link?

  1. Tap the league invite link from your iPhone or Android device.
  2. Download 18Birdies if you do not already have it installed.
  3. Create an 18Birdies account or log in.
  4. Accept the league invitation.

After accepting, the league will be added to your account.

If the league does not appear after you create your account, tap the invite link again from your phone.


How do I join a league with a QR code?

  1. Open the camera app on your phone.
  2. Scan the organizer’s QR code for the league.
  3. Tap the QR code link.
  4. The 18Birdies app will open with an invitation.
  5. Tap Join.

After accepting the invite, the league will be added to your account.


How do I join a Public League?

Public Leagues can be found by anyone in 18Birdies.

To find a Public League at a specific course:

  1. Open the course profile in 18Birdies.
  2. Tap Course Events.
  3. Select the league.
  4. Tap Join.

You can also find Public Leagues from the Community section, nearby league discovery, friend activity, shared links, or QR codes.


What happens after I join a league?

After joining a league, you become a league member.

The league organizer can schedule tournaments throughout the season. When a league tournament is active, you can play your round and have your result count toward the league standings based on the organizer’s settings.

League tournaments may have different courses, date windows, formats, or leaderboard settings, so check the league homepage or tournament details before playing.


How do I play in a league tournament?

League tournaments work like regular 18Birdies tournaments.

When a league tournament is active:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Play at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Find the tournament near the top of the Play screen.
  4. Tap Start Tournament Round.
  5. Confirm your round settings.
  6. Add playing partners, if needed.
  7. Tap Play.

Why don’t I see a league tournament yet?

The league organizer may not have scheduled a tournament yet, or the tournament window may not be active.

Check the league homepage for announcements, upcoming events, and leaderboard information.

If you believe a tournament should be available, contact the league organizer or league admin.
