Yes. If a player cannot create an 18Birdies account or join the tournament, the tournament round creator can add that player as a Guest Player.

The round creator is responsible for entering the guest player’s handicap accurately for net scoring.

For the best tournament experience, we recommend that all players create an 18Birdies account and accept the tournament invitation.

How do I view the tournament leaderboard?

Important note for Best Ball and Scramble formats

For team formats like Best Ball or Scramble, only add the players who are on your team to your tournament scorecard.

If your foursome contains two separate 2-person teams, each team should create its own 2-person tournament round in the app.

Example:

  • Jim and Tom are Team 1.
  • Steve and Larry are Team 2.
  • Jim starts a tournament round and adds Tom.
  • Steve starts a separate tournament round and adds Larry.

Do not add all four players to one team scorecard unless all four players are competing as one team.

Adding the full foursome to one scorecard may cause the app to treat all players as one team.
