Your Account Settings let you manage your profile, email address, phone number, password, preferences, privacy, and other account options in 18Birdies.

You can access these settings from the Me tab in the app.

Where can I find Account Settings?

To find Account Settings:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings

From Account Settings, you can manage your email, password, notifications, phone number, preferences, privacy, and more.


How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Edit Profile.
  5. Update the profile information you want to change.
  6. Tap Save.

How do I change my email address?

To change the email address on your account:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Tap Email.
  6. Tap Change Email Address.
  7. Enter the new email address.
  8. Tap Submit.
  9. Enter your current password, if prompted.
  10. Tap Submit.

After the change is saved, the new email address will be associated with your account.

Important: Make sure you have access to the new email address. You may need it for password resets or account verification.


How do I change my phone number?

To change the phone number on your account:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Tap Mobile.
  6. Enter your new phone number.
  7. Follow the prompts to save the change.

Phone number login may only be available for supported regions.


How do I change my gender setting?

To change your gender setting:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Edit Profile.
  5. Tap Gender.
  6. Select the option you want to use.
  7. Tap Save.

Gender may be used for handicap-related calculations.


How do I change the distance between Yards and Meters?

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Find the Preferences section.
  6. Update your distance: 
    1. Imperial (Yards)
    2. Metric (Meters)

How do I change the temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius?

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Find the Preferences section.
  6. Update your temperature: Fahrenheit or Celsius

How do I change my dominant hand preference?

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.

  6. Update your dominant hand settings: Right or Left

You can change your password from Account Settings if you know your current password.

How do I log out?

To log out:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Three Dots menu at the top of the page.
  4. Tap Settings
  5. Scroll down.
  6. Tap Log Out.

Before logging out, make sure you know the email address, phone number, and password connected to your account.


How do I check my app version?

To check your current app version in 18Birdies:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me.
  3. Tap the Three Dot menu at the top of the screen
  4. Scroll toward the bottom of the screen.
  5. Look for the app version number.

To check for updates on iPhone:

  1. Open the Apple App Store.
  2. Search for 18Birdies.
  3. If you see Update, tap it to install the latest version.
  4. If you see Open, your app is already up to date.

To check for updates on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for 18Birdies.
  3. If you see Update, tap it to install the latest version.
  4. If you see Open, your app is already up to date.

How do I clear the cache in the 18Birdies app?

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me on the bottom menu.
  3. Tap the Settings or three-dot icon.
  4. Tap Clear Cache.

How do I clear the cache on Android?

Steps may vary by device, but generally:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Tap Apps or Apps & notifications.
  3. Find and tap 18Birdies.
  4. Tap Storage or Storage & cache.
  5. Tap Clear Cache.

How do I clear the cache on iPhone?

iOS does not offer a direct clear-cache option for individual apps in the same way Android does.

To refresh the app on iPhone, you can offload or reinstall the app.

To offload the app:

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap iPhone Storage.
  4. Find and tap 18Birdies.
  5. Tap Offload App.
  6. Reinstall 18Birdies.

You can also delete and reinstall the app from the App Store.

Important: If you delete or reinstall the app, you may need to log back in. Make sure you know your login information before deleting the app.

Why should I keep my email address updated?

Your email address may be used for password resets, account verification, Support help, and important account communication.

Can I change my account information later?

Yes. You can update many account settings from the app.

What if I cannot change my email or phone number?

Contact Support and include the email address or phone number currently on the account, the new information you want to use, and any details that may help verify ownership.

Can I change my handicap from Account Settings?

Handicap information is managed separately from basic account settings. Some profile details, such as gender or tee information, may affect handicap-related calculations.
