Connect 18Birdies to Strava

Connect 18Birdies to Strava

Connect your 18Birdies and Strava accounts to automatically share your completed golf rounds to Strava. Your golf activity appears alongside your runs, rides, hikes, and other activities, making it easy to keep all of your activities in one place.

Once connected, if Auto-Sync is enabled, eligible future rounds will automatically sync to Strava after you confirm your scorecard. Previous rounds won’t be shared automatically, but you can share them manually from the Round Summary at any time.

Only completed rounds with visibility set to “Everyone” in 18Birdies are automatically shared to Strava. Rounds shared privately or with a select group of friends won’t automatically sync, even if you later change their visibility to Everyone.

The Strava integration is available to all 18Birdies users, including Free and Premium members.

How do I connect 18Birdies to Strava?

To connect your Strava account:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Tap Me.
  3. Tap ‘…’, in the top right corner
  4. Tap Connected Apps & Devices.
  5. Select Strava.
  6. Tap Connect.
  7. Sign in to your Strava account if prompted.
  8. Review the permissions and authorize the connection.
  9. Choose whether to enable Auto-Sync Shared Rounds (enabled by default).

Once connected, future completed rounds with visibility set to Everyone will automatically be shared to Strava when you confirm your scorecard, as long as Auto-Sync remains enabled.

How does automatic sharing work?

With Auto-Sync Shared Rounds turned on, 18Birdies automatically shares your completed round to Strava after you confirm your scorecard.

A round will automatically sync only if all of the following are true:

  • Auto-Sync Shared Rounds is turned on.
  • The round is completed and your scorecard has been confirmed.
  • The round visibility is set to Everyone before the round is completed.

Important:

  • Only rounds completed after connecting your Strava account are eligible for automatic sharing.
  • Previously completed rounds are never shared automatically, but you can manually share them from the Round Summary.
  • If a round is completed as Private or shared only with a select group of friends, it won’t automatically sync to Strava, even if you later change the visibility to Everyone. You can still manually share that round from the Round Summary.

How do I manually share a round to Strava?

You can manually share completed rounds to Strava at any time, even if Auto-Sync is turned off.

To manually share a round:

  1. Open the Round Summary.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Select Strava.

You can access the Round Summary immediately after finishing your round, or later by going to:

Me → Rounds Played

Note: If the round was already shared automatically, manually sharing it again will create a duplicate activity in Strava.

What information is shared to Strava?

When a round is shared to Strava, the activity includes:

  • Course name and location
  • Gross score
  • Birdies, pars, and bogeys
  • Round duration
  • End-of-round summary graphic, including your scorecard and key round statistics

Who can see my golf activities on Strava?

The visibility of your golf activities is controlled by your Strava privacy settings.

When a round is shared from 18Birdies, it will use your current default activity privacy settings in Strava.

If you’d like to change who can see a golf activity, you can update its visibility at any time in the Strava app or on the Strava website.

18Birdies doesn’t control who can see your activities after they’re shared to Strava.

How do I disconnect Strava?

To disconnect your Strava account:

  1. Open the 18Birdies app.
  2. Go to Me.
  3. Tap ‘…’, in the top right corner
  4. Tap Connected Apps & Devices.
  5. Select Strava.
  6. Tap Disconnect Strava.

Disconnecting stops future rounds from automatically syncing to Strava.

Rounds you’ve already shared will remain in Strava unless you delete them there.

You can still manually share rounds from the Round Summary whenever you’d like.

Can I edit a round after it’s been shared?

Changes made in 18Birdies are not automatically reflected in Strava.

If you update your score, statistics, or other round information after sharing, you’ll need to manually share the round again to post the updated version.

Note: Sharing again creates a second activity in Strava. If you don’t want duplicate activities, delete the original activity in Strava.

Can I delete a round after sharing it?

Deleting a round in 18Birdies does not remove it from Strava.

If you’d like to remove it from Strava, delete the activity directly in the Strava app.
