How to Square Your Clubface for Better Impact (Video)

by Devan Bonebrake

Do you struggle with an open clubface on impact? Does your ball go high and right? Then this drill was designed to help your golf game.

First, let’s understand what movement actually closes your clubface. Many golfers believe it’s from rotating your wrists front to back, but that’s not the best practice and can actually ruin your swing! The technique comes from rotating your lead forearm.

In my latest drill, I show you how to practice keeping your hands staying ahead in your swing and closing your clubface, so you can translate it to your golf game and see results.

If you’re looking for a drill to do at home or at the office, take a look at my upper body rotation drill! For even more drills and practice tips, head over to the 18Birdies app!
