Handicap Differential

A Handicap Differential is the difference between a player's adjusted gross score and the USGA Course Rating™ of the course on which the score was made.

The difference is then multiplied by 113, and then divided by the USGA Slope Rating® from the tees played and rounded to the nearest tenth.

Example

Eddy shoots 75 on a par 72 golf course
Golf Course Rating™ is 68.5

Slope is 131
75 - 68.5 = 6.5
6.5 x 113 = 734.5
734.5 divided by 131 = 5.6 Handicap Differential
